During this week’s WWE SmackDown taping it was announced that CM Punk will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Hardy in a rematch from The Bash pay-per-view at next month’s Night of Champions pay-per-view. Following this week’s double WWE Raw and SmackDown taping, the following matches are confirmed WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view.
WWE Championship Triple Threat Match
Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
World Heavyweight Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
WWE Unified Tag Team Championship Match
Edge and Chris Jericho (c) vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase
WWE Divas Championship Match
Maryse (c) vs. Mickie James
WWE Night of Champions will take place on July 26, 2009 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. |
